Veterans and other service members suffer tremendous stress and trauma during their years of service, making it difficult for them to return to civilian life. Michigan alone is home to nearly 4,000 veterans in crisis, with 45% suffering from PTSD! Thankfully, in our community, Vets Returning Home has made it their mission to help our veterans transition into stable lives.
Vets Returning Home is a non-profit dedicated to ending chronic homelessness among veterans in our local area. For veterans in need, they offer a safe and sober living environment. On-site services include job prep and training, assistance with job placement, connecting with disability benefits, legal support, and instruction in life skills.
Our team here at the McGovern Agency wants to ensure the safety and protection of all individuals in our community, especially those who’ve risked their lives for our freedom. We firmly support the mission of Vets Returning Home for these men and women. This quarter, we’re supporting and raising funds and awareness for this incredible organization as our way of saying “Thank You” to our veterans for the sacrifices they’ve made and continue to make.
